Dastkar Mela - 2013 in Chennai

Dastkar Chennai Mela 2013 is on at Valluvarkottam till May 13. Timings - 10 am to 9 pm. The mela boosts of handicraft items by artisans from all across India. On display are a range of textiles, handlooms, paintings, artificial jewellery, wood articles and more.

Cottonfab - 2013 exhibition cum sale and Live demo is on from 19th to 29th April '13. Timing - 10.30 am to 8.30 pm. Venue - Valluvar Kottam Hall, Nungambakkam High Road, Chennai. The exhibition shows off a variety of traditional, gorgeous and fabulous Handloom sarees, dress materials and home furnishings from different states in India.

I have been searching the internet for exhibition updates in the place I live in. Unfortunately I was not able to locate the needed information. I thought of starting a blog giving the updates myself. Chennai the city I have been living in for 3 years. First time my husband told me we are moving to chennai, my response was "Anywhere in India, but not Chennai". In these years, I have come into terms with living here.
